Inspiration of the Week - Zarina Bhimji

Zarina Bhimji is a photgrapher and film maker living and working in London. The work of hers that I am going to look is her 2007 Turner Prize Nomination.



In these works Zarina Bhimji travelled throughout India, Zanzibar and East Africa and her photographs focus on the human influence behind the buildings and other objects in her photos.



Her photographs look at the history and stories that are attached to the buildings.

I also want part of my reflect the human influence on the world and what marks we leave behind. Another aspect that I want to explore is how we are forgotten but perhaps the marks will be left forever, sort of like the butterfly effect.
